TRANSPORT POTIRIADI - TERMS OF TRANSPORT
The sender is responsible for the safe and adequate durable packaging of packages received closed by our company. If the contents of these items are damaged during transport due to inadequate packaging, our company is not responsible and there is no compensation.
In destinations outside the European Union, there may be customs clearance costs and delays at customs. Customs clearance is a tax of the respective country of destination and is independent of the cost of transportation. Our company is not aware of or responsible for the cost of customs clearance. For delays due to customs procedures at any customs office along the route, the transport company is not responsible and there is no compensation.
Shipments travel without insurance. In case of loss, compensation is provided for a maximum of €5/kilo. In case of damage to parcels received packaged by the sender, compensation is provided for €5/kilo and under the condition of proper packaging inside and outside the box, which must be proven with photographs. Parcels can be insured at an extra cost and under certain conditions. Claims for compensation without photographs of the damage and packaging outside and inside the box will not be accepted. Any claims regarding damages/damages/losses etc. must be reported to our company within 20 calendar days from the date of delivery of the parcel to the recipient. Claims after 20 days are not accepted.
The following are prohibited for transport: Alcoholic beverages, perfumes, colognes, sprays of any kind, batteries, power banks, tobacco, tobacco products, electronic cigarettes and related consumables, drugs and psychotropic substances, money, related financial documents, important documents, valuable jewelry, pounds and related items, lighters, gas cans, fireworks, firearms, ammunition, imitation weapons, ammonia, acetone, propane tanks, solvents, insecticides, herbicides, fertilizers, seeds and plants. Medicines and parapharmaceuticals are only permitted within the European Union and under certain conditions.
In the event that the contents include items prohibited for transport, the sender assumes sole responsibility.
Declarations of content and/or value after the parcel has left are not considered valid. In case the sender does not declare the value of the contents, this is automatically considered to be 5€/kg.
Fresh agricultural products, cheese products and cured meats travel at the sender's risk. In case of deterioration during the journey, even when this is due to a delay in the shipment, or seizure by customs, there is no compensation/refund for the products or for the remaining contents of the box that may have been destroyed. In countries outside the European Union, the recipient is obliged to know whether he can receive the food/items he wants in the quantities he wants. In case the food/items do not pass customs control and are subject to a destruction or return procedure, the costs are borne by the customer and there is no compensation/refund.
In case of a parcel being returned from a foreign country, the sender is charged with the return costs and any customs costs. If the sender refuses to cover them, our carrier has the right to abandon the shipment.
Our company bears no responsibility for delays or complications due to incorrect or incomplete contact information on the part of the sender.
Our company bears no responsibility for delays and any costs incurred in the event that the recipient does not answer the phones/sms/emails of our correspondents. The recipient is obliged to have the opportunity to come to an agreement with our correspondent to arrange the delivery, especially if requested by our company. If there is a repeated inability to contact the recipient, the package is returned and the alleged costs (return costs and any customs) are the responsibility of the sender. If the sender refuses to cover them, our carrier has the right to abandon the shipment.
For delays due to force majeure in the country of destination or at any point along the parcel's route (e.g. strikes, holidays, street markets, road damage or work, customs procedures) or extreme weather or other phenomena (e.g. fires, floods, snow) our company bears no responsibility for any delays, failure to deliver the goods or damage/alteration caused to them.
In the event that the sender does not wish the shipment to proceed after the shipment has been received by our company, the cancellation fee is equal to 1/3 of the agreed transport amount. If there is no
